BRISTOL, Conn. — Shohei Ohtani and the reigning World Series champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, are set to be highlighted in four of the initial ten broadcasts of ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball,” as well as making an appearance on the primary opening day of the season on March 27.

ESPN announced on Wednesday that the Dodgers will face the Chicago Cubs on April 13, the Atlanta Braves on May 4, the New York Mets on May 25, and the New York Yankees on June 1 during these prime-time Sunday matches.

Last year, the Dodgers participated in the maximum five Sunday night broadcast games, a record they shared with the Yankees, Braves, and Boston Red Sox.

The Dodgers kick off their season with a two-game series against the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo on March 18 and 19, while most other teams will commence their campaigns on March 27. On that opening day, ESPN will present a doubleheader, showcasing the Yankees’ matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers alongside the Dodgers playing at home against the Detroit Tigers. Notably, the games on March 27 are not included in the five-game limit set by ESPN for each team.

ESPN’s Sunday night baseball broadcasts have been a staple since their inception in 1990, offering fans an exciting lineup of games and player highlights throughout the MLB season.
