FORT WAYNE, Ind. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, Jalen Jackson’s standout performance with 25 points propelled Purdue Fort Wayne to a 90-81 victory over Youngstown State.
In addition to his scoring, Jackson made his presence felt on the boards with five rebounds and facilitated the offense with seven assists for the Mastodons (11-6, 4-2 in Horizon League play). Chandler Cuthrell also played a significant role, contributing 19 points with an accurate shooting performance of 8 for 17, which included a 3-point attempt success rate of 25 percent, and he converted 2 of 3 free throws. Cuthrell rounded out his contributions with eight rebounds.
