TOWSON, Md. — Tyler Tejada played a pivotal role in Towson’s 70-65 victory over Bryant on Sunday, scoring 18 points and grabbing five rebounds. The triumph helped the Tigers end a challenging six-game losing streak, bringing their record to 5-8. Dylan Williamson also made a significant contribution, finishing with 13 points after hitting 6 of 13 attempts, including one successful three-pointer. Tomiwa Sulaiman scored 10 points, but struggled from long range, missing all three of his attempts beyond the arc while going 4 for 10 overall.
On the opposing side, the Bulldogs (6-8) were led by Earl Timberlake, who delivered an impressive performance with 23 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Barry Evans supported the team with 18 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Keyshawn Mitchell added eight points alongside seven rebounds.
Tejada made a notable impact in the first half, contributing 12 points which helped Towson secure a slim lead of 33-28 at halftime. As the second half unfolded, Towson surged ahead with a 12-3 run to overcome a six-point deficit, ultimately placing themselves in the lead at 58-55 with just over seven minutes remaining. Williamson was instrumental during this period, scoring nine of his points in the second half to help seal the win for the Tigers.
Looking ahead, Towson is set to face UNC Wilmington on the road this Thursday, while Bryant will be visiting Grand Canyon on Monday.
