BRYN MAWR, Pa. — Villanova secured a decisive 79-67 victory over Seton Hall on Tuesday, largely thanks to Eric Dixon’s impressive performance, where he scored 25 points and grabbed six rebounds.
Tyler Perkins contributed significantly as well, adding 17 points and five rebounds to help propel the Wildcats to an 8-4 record this season. Jordan Longino also had a solid outing, scoring 15 points with a shooting performance that included three successful field goals—two of which were from beyond the arc—as well as a perfect 7 for 7 from the free-throw line.
On the other hand, Seton Hall’s efforts were led by Isaiah Coleman, who tallied 22 points and collected nine rebounds. Dylan Addae-Wusu followed closely with 15 points, while Chaunce Jenkins added 14 points to the Pirates’ total.
Villanova established their dominance with a shift in momentum midway through the first half, taking the lead with 10:13 left in the period and never looking back. Perkins played a crucial role during the first half, leading the team with 11 points and helping to secure a 37-29 lead at halftime. Dixon’s scoring prowess continued into the second half, where he added 16 points to further cement the Wildcats’ victory.
