MILWAUKEE — In an action-packed evening at the MKE Tip-Off, Malik Thomas showcased his scoring prowess by netting 35 points, leading the San Francisco Dons to a 76-66 victory over Loyola Chicago on Sunday night.

Thomas delivered a stellar performance with an impressive shooting record, going 11 for 16 from the field, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc. Additionally, he was nearly flawless from the free-throw line, converting 11 of 12 attempts. Marcus Williams contributed 11 points, hitting 3 of 9 shots overall, and hitting 1 of 3 from three-point territory, along with four successful free throws, five rebounds, and six assists. Ryan Beasley also made a significant impact, finishing the game with 11 points from 4 of 7 shooting.

Loyola Chicago (8-1) had Des Watson leading their scoring with 14 points, while Francis Nwaokorie added 13 points to the team’s total. Kymany Houinsou supported the effort with 10 points and four assists. The Ramblers had a strong start to their season, securing wins in their first eight games for the first time since the 1962-63 season, when they embarked on an impressive run that included 21 consecutive victories.
