PULLMAN, Wash. — Isaiah Watts made a significant contribution to Washington State’s victory over Missouri State, scoring 20 points in the game, which concluded with a score of 91-78 on Saturday night.
Watts also collected seven rebounds for the Cougars, who improved their season record to 9-2. Dane Erikstrup matched Watts with 20 points, showcasing an impressive shooting performance by hitting 6 of 7 shots from the field, including a successful 2 for 3 from beyond the arc. He also converted 6 of 8 attempts at the free-throw line. LeJuan Watts added to the team’s efforts with 17 points, executing a flawless shooting night by making all seven of his attempts from the field.
On the other side, Dez White stood out for the Bears, leading his team with 16 points and contributing two steals. Vincent Brady II also played a key role, finishing the game with 14 points, six assists, and three steals, while Zaxton King rounded out the scoring for Missouri State with 12 points.
Washington State took control of the game with just over five minutes left in the first half and managed to maintain that advantage. Erikstrup scored nine points during the first half, aiding the Cougars in building a 34-27 lead by halftime. They expanded this margin to 57-43 in the second half, highlighted by a 10-0 scoring run that showcased their offensive prowess.
