VALPARAISO, Ind. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, Valparaiso triumphed over Central Michigan with a score of 93-77, fueled largely by All Wright’s impressive performance, where he netted 26 points.
Wright showcased his scoring ability by hitting 7 of 16 field goal attempts, including 4 of 8 from beyond the arc. Additionally, he exhibited perfect shooting at the charity stripe, making all 8 of his free-throw attempts. The Beacons improved their record to 5-4 with this win, with Tyler Schmidt contributing significantly with 21 points along with six rebounds. Jefferson Monegro also played a key role, scoring 16 points, shooting 3 for 5 from the field and 2 for 3 from the three-point line, while matching Wright’s free throw success by going 8 for 8.
