OLEANT, N.Y. — In a decisive performance, Chance Moore contributed significantly to Saint Bonaventure’s victory over Mansfield (PA) with a total of 16 points in a 76-54 win on Wednesday evening.
Moore not only showcased his scoring ability but also dominated the boards, collecting 12 rebounds for the Bonnies, who improved their record to 5-0. Lajae Jones was also instrumental in the win, shooting 4 of 5 from the floor and adding 11 points. Dasonte Bowen chipped in with nine points, although his shooting was slightly less efficient as he went 4 of 10.
On the other side, the Mountaineers’ scoring efforts were led by Owen Chambers, who accounted for 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Nasir Brown contributed eight points, while LJ Stansbury registered six points, eight boards, and four assists to round out Mansfield’s efforts.
The Bonnies established control of the game early, taking the lead just 44 seconds into the first half and maintaining it throughout. By halftime, they held a narrow 36-30 advantage, with Moore already contributing 10 points to the cause. In the second half, Saint Bonaventure escalated their intensity, launching a 10-3 scoring spurt to transform a six-point lead into a comfortable 13-point margin.
In the concluding half, the Bonnies outscored their opponents by a significant 16 points, with Moore again leading the charge, netting six points in the second half alone, solidifying their dominance as they went on to secure the win.
