MONCTON, New Brunswick — On Saturday night, the Northeastern Huskies secured an impressive 80-62 victory against Central Connecticut, powered by standout performances from Rashad King and Harold Woods.
King delivered a remarkable outing, scoring 27 points with an efficient shooting performance of 11 for 15, including 3 for 4 from three-point territory. Woods closely followed with 26 points, hitting 11 of 16 attempts and making 2 of 3 from beyond the arc, while also contributing significantly with 10 rebounds and three steals. William Kermoury added 13 points to the scoreline, going 4 for 12 overall, with 2 of 10 from the three-point range, but he was perfect at the free-throw line, shooting 3 for 3.
For the Central Connecticut Blue Devils, who now stand at a record of 2-2, Jayden Brown was the top scorer with 15 points. Both Jordan Jones and Darin Smith Jr. made notable contributions as well, each scoring 11 points during the game.
