CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Monday night, Jaehshon Thomas showcased an impressive performance, contributing 18 points to help the Charlotte 49ers secure an 88-79 victory over Presbyterian, marking a strong start to the season.
Thomas achieved his scoring total by hitting 6 out of 8 shots from the field, which included a notable 3 for 4 from the 3-point range. Additionally, he was effective from the free-throw line, going 3 for 4. His teammate Robert Braswell also made significant contributions, scoring 18 points with a shooting percentage of 6 for 9, of which 5 of those were 3-pointers.
Giancarlo Rosado rounded out the high-scoring efforts for the 49ers by finishing the game with 16 points, having shot 5 of 8 from the floor and a perfect 6 for 6 from the free-throw line. He also contributed defensively with five rebounds and facilitated the team’s offense by dishing out eight assists.
On the opposing side, Presbyterian’s Jonah Pierce led the team with a standout game, notching 22 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. His efforts were bolstered by Kory Mincy, who added 17 points and provided seven assists. Carl Parrish also chipped in with 12 points, but it ultimately wasn’t enough to overcome the 49ers.
