On Saturday, North Carolina Central showcased a dominant performance, overpowering NCCAA team Virginia Lynchburg with a stunning score of 68-0. Leading the charge for the Eagles, Zion Dobson accumulated 98 rushing yards along with a touchdown.
Despite only making eight pass attempts, Walker Harris contributed significantly to the early success of their offense, successfully connecting on two touchdown passes within the first quarter. This enabled N.C. Central to establish a commanding 33-0 advantage by the end of the opening period.
The Eagles tallied an impressive 326 rushing yards on 34 carries throughout the match. In addition to Dobson’s notable contributions, players Aleni Mageo, J’Mari Taylor, Chris Mosley, and Quest Powell each secured rushing touchdowns from short-yardage situations. Dobson capped his performance with a 5-yard touchdown run that pushed the Eagles’ lead to 54-0, midway through the third quarter.
