It’s the biggest night in music – the Grammys! This year’s ceremony is packed with stars. We’ll see Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Sabrina Carpenter, Cardi B, Will Smith, and more. But all eyes are on Beyonce. Can she finally win the coveted Album of the Year?
Beyonce, the most Grammy-nominated artist ever, still hasn’t claimed the top award. Last year, Taylor Swift snagged the prize with Midnights and is back in the running for The Tortured Poets Department. If Beyonce doesn’t win, she’ll still make history, holding the record for most nominations in that category without a win.
Swift, however, could break her own record by winning again. Other artists in the running include Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Andre 3000. Who will take the crown?
Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s event.
When and where is it happening?
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday. The ceremony starts with the premiere event at 12:30 PM PT (8:30 PM in the UK). That’s when most awards are handed out.
However, the biggest categories—Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist—will be saved for later.
The red carpet kicks off at 11:00 PM UK time, and we’ll be covering all the fashion here. The main show begins at 1:00 AM UK time and lasts three and a half hours. The event will recognize music released between September 16, 2023, and August 30, 2024.
How will the LA wildfires affect the event?
The devastating wildfires in LA, which have tragically claimed 29 lives, will certainly impact the Grammys. In response, the Recording Academy canceled several events to redirect resources toward wildfire relief.
In fact, the Academy launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort, with an impressive $1 million donation. So far, more than $4 million has been raised for emergency aid, including support for those in the music industry.
Who are the presenters?
Comedian Trevor Noah returns to host for the fifth year. Expect a star-studded lineup of presenters: Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Gloria Estefan, Olivia Rodrigo, Queen Latifah, SZA, Victoria Monet, and Will Smith, among others.
Who’s performing?
This year’s performances are set to wow. Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, and Shakira are all set to hit the stage.
The night will also feature a tribute to the legendary producer Quincy Jones. Stevie Wonder and Janelle Monae will headline this special segment.
Plus, big names like Brad Paisley, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Sheryl Crow, and John Legend will also appear.
Who’s up for an award?
Beyonce leads the Grammy nominations with 11, bringing her total to a staggering 99 nominations. She’s already made history with 32 Grammy wins.
Post Malone, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Charli XCX follow with seven nods each. Taylor Swift is up for six nominations, alongside first-time nominees Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan.
In a big surprise, The Beatles are up for two awards. Now and Then, a track completed with AI, is nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance. Will voters embrace the tech, or will nostalgia win out?
Where can you watch it?
