DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is on a mission. She’s taking immigration enforcement into her own hands. After joining a dramatic pre-dawn raid in New York City, she made it clear—this is just the beginning.

Kristi Noem hits the streets in NYC

Noem suited up in a protective ICE vest and hit the ground with federal agents. The target? Dangerous illegal migrants. The biggest catch of the night—Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, a violent ringleader of the Tren de Aragua gang. The 25-year-old Venezuelan gangster had warrants out for his arrest in Colorado. Authorities say he was caught on video terrorizing residents in an Aurora apartment complex last year.

He tried to buy grenades,” Noem revealed. “He was part of a gun deal before we got him.

Cleaning up America’s streets

Noem isn’t holding back. “We are picking up the worst of the worst”. She knows criminal migrants are fueling violence and drug crises across the country. “Families are losing their kids to this violence,” she warned. “We’re getting these people out of here.”

Her presence on the raids sends a clear message: No one is above the law.

New York City’s role

Despite political differences, Noem praised NYC Mayor Eric Adams. “He was fantastic,” she said. They spoke multiple times during the operation. Adams ensured local authorities cooperated with federal forces.

More raids coming—Noem promises action

When asked if she would personally join more raids, Noem didn’t hesitate. “Absolutely,” she declared. “I will be out there with our agents, our law enforcement, our border patrol.

She believes her presence boosts morale and helps her understand what officers need. “When I’m there, they know they have a leader who supports them,” she explained. “I learn what tools and authority they need to make these arrests.

Cracking down on sanctuary cities

Noem is tackling a major obstacle—sanctuary cities. These areas refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement, making arrests difficult. But she’s determined to bridge the gap. “I need to tell that story,” she said. “I’ll be the liaison, getting local leaders on board and showing communities the good work we’re doing.”

Noem stands firm behind Trump’s immigration crackdown. The administration has one message: “If you’re here illegally and you’re dangerous, you have a target on you,” she warned. “You are not welcome. We will remove you, and there will be consequences.

The fight against illegal immigration is heating up.
