Hezbollah launched 140 rockets towards northern Israel on Friday, following a threat by the group’s leader Hassan Nasrallah to retaliate against Israel for a recent bombing attack, as reported by both the Israeli military and Hezbollah. The rocket attacks occurred in three waves on Friday afternoon, with targets along the border with Lebanon being hit.
According to Hezbollah, the rockets were aimed at various sites along the border using Katyusha rockets, including air defense bases and the headquarters of an Israeli armored brigade, which they claimed to have struck for the first time. The militant group stated that the rocket attacks were in response to Israeli airstrikes on villages and homes in southern Lebanon.
