Four individuals were tragically killed in a shooting incident on a subway train outside Chicago, as reported by the police on Monday. The incident took place at the Forest Park station, an above-ground stop on the Chicago Transit Authority’s Blue Line. Although three victims were declared dead at the scene, the fourth victim passed away later at a hospital. The suspected shooter initially fled the scene but was later apprehended on a different train route, according to Forest Park police.
Law enforcement was alerted to the situation at approximately 5:30 a.m. The Chicago Transit Authority, also known as CTA, expressed deep regret over the violent occurrence, stating that such a heinous act should never transpire, especially on public transportation. CTA mentioned that security camera footage played a crucial role in aiding the investigators during the case.
