Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are facing challenges in selling their $60 million mansion, Crestview Manor, which they purchased as their marital home last year. According to a report from TMZ, the estate has been on the market for over a month but has not yet found a buyer.
The property, which the couple upgraded significantly, features a sprawling 38,000 square feet of living space, including 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. It also includes a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker’s house, a two-bedroom guardhouse, a 12-car garage with parking for 80 vehicles, and a sports complex with basketball and pickleball courts, a gym, a boxing ring, a sports lounge, and a bar. The estate is secured behind double gates and accessible only via private, gated streets.
Listed at $68 million since July, the mansion has attracted several showings but no offers as of yet. Real estate experts suggest various reasons for the slow sale, including the niche market for high-priced properties and the impact of current mortgage rates, which are around 7.12% for a 30-year fixed mortgage. However, the market might improve if interest rates are lowered as anticipated.
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20, marking the second anniversary of their formal wedding. She cited irreconcilable differences and listed their separation date as April 26. Since the filing, Lopez has been exploring new properties but has not yet made a purchase, and she recently sold a condo in New York City. Affleck, on the other hand, has already moved into a $20 million, five-bedroom house purchased in July.
