Kevin Costner received some shocking news as his latest movie ‘Horizon’ turned out to be a major disappointment at the box office this summer.
The grand Western Drama had a staggering production budget of $100 million but managed to only bring in $32 million throughout its time in theaters, which concluded just this past weekend.
Following the last weekend of screenings for ‘Horizon’, the financial outcome is grim: the film’s earnings amounted to just $32 million during its three-month global run.
This translates to Costner – who also served as the movie’s producer – facing a loss of almost $70 million on his vision for ‘the ultimate Western film’.
