The Grammy Museum is set to debut its first full-floor exhibit dedicated to K-pop, as part of its initiative to delve into the music, culture, technology, fandom, and business of Korean pop music. Teaming up with Hybe, the South Korean entertainment powerhouse behind BTS and various other international acts, the museum will offer visitors a comprehensive look at the company’s roster and its influence on the K-pop scene.

Titled “Hybe: We Believe in Music, A Grammy Museum Exhibit,” the showcase will run from Aug. 2 to Sept. 15. A highlight of the 4,000-square-foot exhibit is the array of artifacts, most of which have never been previously displayed in a museum. The collection includes items from 78 K-pop idols, featuring outfits worn in iconic concept photos and music videos.

In addition to well-known groups like BTS, SEVENTEEN, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, the exhibit will also spotlight Hybe’s rookie teams such as ZICO, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, &TEAM, and ILLIT. On display will be three books from Big Hit Entertainment founder Hitman Bang’s personal library, including works that inspired BTS albums.

The Grammy Museum’s President and CEO, Michael Sticka, described this exhibit as one of the largest they’ve curated and emphasized Hybe’s significant impact on the music industry worldwide. Beyond showcasing artifacts, the exhibit will offer interactive experiences, including a “random dance play” and a Photoism booth where attendees can take photos with their favorite acts.

An interactive section titled “Mono to Immersive” will demonstrate the evolution of recording technology by remixing Grammy performances throughout the years. Hybe COO Tae-Ho Kim expressed his hope that the exhibit will appeal to K-pop and Hybe enthusiasts and serve as a platform to introduce their rookie teams to American music fans.

The exhibit aims to provide insight into Hybe as a label, highlighting the company’s journey in the global music industry and market. It is viewed as a significant opportunity for their new artists to make their mark on the American music scene.
