Musk Goes Off the Rails After Exit

Just days after Donald Trump gave Elon Musk a “wonderful send-off” from the Oval Office, the former allies are now exchanging blows online. The billionaire exploded on social media Thursday, tearing into the president’s prized tax bill and hinting at something darker.

Musk accused Trump of losing control. Then came a post that stopped hearts in political circles: “Trump is in the Epstein Files,” Musk wrote, tagging the National Archives.

That line turned a political dispute into a full-on war.

EV Mandates, Power Games, and a Chainsaw

The feud started with Musk slamming the Republicans’ “big, beautiful bill.” He called it full of “disgusting pork” and said it undid all his cost-cutting reforms at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which he led until last Friday.

Trump didn’t hold back.

“I asked Elon to leave. I took away his EV mandate. And he went CRAZY,” the president posted on Truth Social.

He claimed the bill would save billions by slashing Musk’s government subsidies. “Even Biden didn’t do that,” Trump added, twisting the knife.

Musk: ‘I Made Trump President’

The billionaire quickly fired back.

“Without me, Trump would have lost,” Musk wrote on X. “Dems would control the House. Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate. Such ingratitude.”

Musk had donated nearly $300 million to Trump’s campaign after the July 13 assassination attempt. He also appeared on stage with the president during a key rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump laughed it off, saying he would’ve won even if Kamala Harris had picked Pennsylvania’s Governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate.

Musk wasn’t amused.

Cracks Form Behind Closed Doors

Trump’s aides claim Musk was furious over the rejection of Jared Isaacman—Musk’s SpaceX partner—for the top NASA job. The pick, Trump said, was “a total Democrat.”

Then came the second strike: Musk found out his companies were being stripped of tax incentives while oil and gas kept theirs.

“Very unfair!!” Musk tweeted.

He also mocked Trump’s legislation style: “Big and beautiful bills don’t exist. You get big and ugly, or slim and beautiful. I vote slim.”

Musk Drops the Epstein Bomb

That’s when things turned nuclear.

Musk, already in a rage, shared an old post from 2013 in which Trump blasted Republicans for extending the debt ceiling. Then he posted what some saw as a veiled threat:

“Trump is in the Epstein Files.”

The phrase took off instantly. It trended within minutes. Reporters flooded archives. Online forums went wild. MAGA loyalists started to panic.

Laura Loomer, a far-right activist, posted: “GOP lawmakers are now deciding: Team Trump or Team Elon.”

Stocks Plunge, and So Does Loyalty

As the war of words raged, Tesla shares plunged 8%. That capped a brutal week, with the stock down 17% and 25% lower than its December high.

Trump tried to regain control during his Oval Office visit with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

“He hasn’t said anything bad about me personally—yet,” Trump said. “But I’m sure that will be next.”

And it was.

Musk kept posting as Trump spoke. “False,” he wrote, in response to claims he had reviewed the spending bill. “This bill was never shown to me.”

Fallout Spreads Across Washington

The feud now has real political fallout.

Musk told Republican lawmakers to vote against the bill—or face primary challenges. Capitol Hill is now split. Some are begging for peace. Others are choosing sides.

Trump tried to frame Musk’s anger as nostalgia. “People leave my administration and they miss it so badly, it becomes Trump Derangement Syndrome,” he said.

But for Musk, the fight is just beginning.

“I’ll be around for 40+ years,” he posted. “Trump only has 3.5 left.”

As for the Epstein jab, neither Musk nor the White House has clarified. But it was enough to light a fire under both camps.

The bromance is over. And it may take the country with it.Tools
