Producer says Travis Kelce has a real future in Hollywood

Travis Kelce’s Hollywood career is just getting started, and according to a top industry producer, the NFL star is here to stay. Paul Scanlan, co-founder of Legion M and a producer on My Dead Friend Zoe, says Kelce “100 percent” has what it takes to make it in the entertainment industry.

Kelce, 35, serves as an executive producer on My Dead Friend Zoe, an independent film that explores PTSD and the struggles of military veterans. Speaking at the film’s Los Angeles premiere, Scanlan praised Kelce’s impact on the project.

“He’s such a likable guy and a good actor,” Scanlan told PEOPLE. “He’s made a difference in our project … he’s really good at generating attention and getting eyes on a worthy project.”

Hollywood embraces Kelce

Kelce’s transition into entertainment has been swift. After making his scripted television debut in Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie and hosting Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, he is now producing a documentary about artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

His Grotesquerie co-stars, including Niecy Nash-Betts, have praised his work ethic and adaptability. “He was very professional, always came prepared, and was open to learning,” Nash-Betts said.

While Kelce’s Chiefs fell short in the 2025 Super Bowl, his post-football future looks bright. “My hope is to continue working on meaningful projects that entertain, inspire, and make a real impact,” he said.

With My Dead Friend Zoe set to premiere in theaters on Feb. 28, Kelce’s Hollywood career is already off to a winning start.
