SAN FRANCISCO — The Golden State Warriors celebrated a significant milestone by claiming their 3,000th franchise victory on Tuesday night, defeating the Charlotte Hornets with a convincing 128-92 win.
This victory propelled them into an elite circle, joining the ranks of the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Philadelphia 76ers as the only teams in NBA history to achieve this notable accomplishment.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green both contributed significantly to the win, scoring 15 points each.
While Curry had an off night with his shooting, making only 6 of 14 shots and 2 of 9 from beyond the arc, it didn’t hinder the Warriors’ dominant performance against the struggling Hornets.
Charlotte, missing key player LaMelo Ball due to illness and a sore ankle, has now dropped four consecutive games and 13 out of their last 15.

Buddy Hield was the leading scorer for Golden State, delivering 16 points off the bench as the Warriors secured their fourth consecutive victory.
This winning streak has catapulted them into the eighth position within the Western Conference, having secured six victories in their last seven matches.

On the opposing side, KJ Simpson stood out for the Hornets, adding 16 points and six rebounds, while Seth Curry contributed 14 points.
Additionally, Charlotte struggled with ball control, committing 24 turnovers that allowed their opponents to score 37 points.
This marks the eighth instance this season where the Hornets have had 20 or more turnovers in a game.

At halftime, a special on-court ceremony was held to honor the 10th anniversary of Golden State’s championship-winning 2014-15 team.

Jimmy Butler’s recent arrival through a trade has invigorated the Warriors.
His energized presence has lifted the entire franchise, enhancing their prospects of becoming a playoff contender in the current season.

The key challenge of the night arose with Ball’s absence, which compounded the difficulty for the Hornets as they faced the formidable Warriors.
Demonstrating their offensive prowess, the Warriors scored 41 points in the third quarter alone, marking their 11th occurrence this season of scoring at least 40 points in a quarter.

Looking ahead, the Hornets will conclude their nine-game road trip with a matchup against the Mavericks in Dallas on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are set to embark on a five-game road trip starting Monday night, commencing with a game against the Orlando Magic.
