A beverage manufacturing error has led to the recall of some energy drink products in several states due to the unexpected presence of vodka. A company identified as High Noon is recalling particular batches of its High Noon Beach Variety packs. These packs were incorrectly labeled and instead included cans filled with vodka. An announcement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday indicated that some of these cans were mistakenly labeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink.

The recalled cans were erroneously marked as “sparkling blue razz” Celsius Astro Vibe energy drinks, though they actually contain vodka seltzer. According to High Noon, consumption of these mislabeled cans could result in the accidental ingestion of alcohol. The products in question were distributed to stores across Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin, leading to a widespread recall effort in these areas.

The mistake was discovered after High Noon learned that a packaging supplier had wrongly delivered empty Celsius energy drink cans to their facilities. Fortunately, there have been no reported cases of sickness or negative reactions linked to this labeling issue at this time. The company has advised consumers who have purchased the affected cans to dispose of them responsibly.

Additionally, customers are recommended to verify that any Sparkling Blue Razz Celsius Astro Vibe energy drinks they own do not match the lot codes listed in the recall notice prior to consumption. This precaution helps ensure consumers do not mistakenly consume any product that may contain alcohol due to the labeling mishap.
