    In a tragic incident at an archery range in New Jersey, a lightning strike resulted in the death of one individual and left 13 others injured. The event unfolded on Wednesday evening, as reported by the local police.

    At approximately 7:15 p.m., Jackson Township Police were alerted about a lightning strike affecting multiple people at the Black Knight Bowbenders archery range. In a statement issued by Police Chief Matthew Kunz, it was noted that CPR was being performed on one of the victims at the scene.

    A 61-year-old man succumbed to his injuries, and another individual experienced temporary unconsciousness, the statement continued. Among those who were injured, complaints varied from burns to nonspecific ailments such as feeling unwell. The youngest casualty in this unfortunate event was a 7-year-old child.

    The injured parties were transported to local hospitals for medical care, although specific details regarding their conditions have not been disclosed.

    Weather conditions on Wednesday evening included scattered showers and storms, with the National Weather Service issuing a severe thunderstorm warning in the area around the time of the incident.
