INDIANAPOLIS — Caitlin Clark will remain on the sidelines for the Indiana Fever as she misses her fourth game in a row due to a strained left groin. This setback will keep her out of the lineup as the Fever gear up to face Las Vegas.
The Fever provided an update on Clark’s condition on Wednesday, just one day prior to their upcoming home game against the Aces. Despite missing out on the action, her absence during the recent WNBA Commissioner’s Cup triumph over the Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday did not affect the team’s regular-season standings.
“She’s making progress,” shared Stephanie White, the coach of the Fever. “There’s a difference between making progress and genuinely feeling good. Our focus is on ensuring that when she returns, she feels confident and her health is not jeopardized. Our goal is to have her come back without any risk of setbacks.”
Clark, who was the top pick in the 2024 draft and has been named as one of the captains for the upcoming WNBA All-Star Game, boasts a remarkable record of never missing a game during her collegiate career at Iowa and in her rookie season with the Fever. Earlier this season, a quadriceps strain forced her to sit out five games.
