    In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a tragic incident unfolded as a police officer lost his life after sustaining gunshot injuries. On Thursday, Officer Kendall Corder, aged 32, was shot while responding to an urgent call. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries three days later, as announced by the Milwaukee Police Department on Sunday.

    During the incident, Officer Corder and his partner, both with six years of service in the department, were attending to a report concerning an armed individual. The officer and his partner, who also suffered gunshot wounds but survived, were unexpectedly shot without the opportunity to return fire, as detailed by the police.

    Following the attack, a 22-year-old suspect was apprehended, though formal charges have yet to be made. The suspect’s identity has not been disclosed by authorities.

    Expressing deep sorrow over the loss, the Milwaukee Police Department issued a heartfelt statement. “MPD is forever grateful for Officer Corder’s courage in the line of duty,” the release stated, extending condolences to his bereaved family, friends, and colleagues whose lives have been irrevocably affected by this tragedy.
