NEW YORK — Chrysler has initiated a voluntary recall of select 2022-2025 Pacifica and Voyager models to address potential issues with side curtain airbags. This recall may involve up to 250,651 vehicles, as highlighted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The concern stems from the possibility that some side curtain airbags might not maintain sufficient pressure during deployment, potentially increasing passenger risk in certain crash scenarios. This issue has been traced back to improperly sealed seams in the airbags. As a precautionary measure, Chrysler dealerships will conduct inspections and, if necessary, replace the faulty side curtain airbags at no cost to the vehicle owners.

Though there have not been any reported injuries or accidents associated with this defect, Chrysler’s parent company advises customers to adhere to the guidelines provided in their recall notices. The safety and well-being of their customers are of utmost importance, and the company is taking necessary steps to rectify the situation to ensure enhanced vehicle safety.
