ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Josh Allen, with his signature charismatic smile, sported a new accessory at a recent press gathering – a wedding ring. The Buffalo Bills quarterback drew attention not only for his football prowess but also for his recent nuptials to actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld, which took place in Southern California on May 31.

When asked about the wedding, Allen preferred to pivot back to his professional focus. “We’re back to football,” he noted, acknowledging his new band with a quick glance at his hand. “Got some hardware now. So, good to go.”

Keeping true to his preference for privacy, Allen was sparing with details about the ceremony. Nonetheless, the joyous event could not escape public eye, with several photos surfacing online shortly after their vows. The photos showcased a blissful Steinfeld in her strapless gown, the couple’s affectionate kiss, and Allen, dapper in a tuxedo, surrounded by friends and teammates.

Reflecting on a monumental start to the year, Allen revealed a softer side. Within the past months, he has been celebrated as the NFL MVP, signed a lucrative contract, and embarked on married life. Sharing about his relationship, Allen described Steinfeld as his closest friend, adding appreciatively, “That was the most important decision I’ll make in my life and I made the right one.”

Marrying this summer, Allen and Steinfeld, both originating from California, have emerged as a prominent couple in Western New York and the NFL. Allen, 29, has etched his name into the Buffalo Bills’ history books, setting records over his seven seasons and becoming a central force in the team’s ascent to AFC prominence. He has also gained recognition through various national advertising campaigns.

Meanwhile, Steinfeld, 28, rose to fame with an Oscar-nominated performance in “True Grit” and has since continued to captivate audiences with her roles in multiple films such as “Sinners” and her ventures into the music industry.

As the buzz about his personal life simmered, Allen returned to the task at hand with zeal, participating in the Bills’ mandatory practice sessions after missing voluntary workouts the prior week. Aside from his usual commanding presence on the field, Allen engaged in post-practice filming to assess his footwork and mechanics, a regular exercise he uses to refine his technique. “Making sure we’re staying on top of those things and if there’s something that we need to tweak for the better, we are going to try to do it,” he explained.

Coach Sean McDermott praised Allen for his ability to manage the constant spotlight, labeling the quarterback as down-to-earth and sincerely relatable. McDermott admired Allen’s authenticity and described him as one of the league’s top talents. “What I’ve seen is this truly genuine, authentic person who, yes, is in the limelight, yes, is one of the top players in our league, and maybe the top player in the NFL,” McDermott observed. “But he is so authentic, so down-to-earth, so relatable. I think that’s really the connection and the cool piece about Josh is because he is who he is.”

McDermott was among the guests who had the honor of witnessing the union first-hand. Reflecting on the occasion, he added, “I was very grateful to be there, No. 1. Two, it was what you would expect of a wedding. Just great to see, and two really special families coming together.”
