Parma, Italy — Parma Football Club has announced that they have mutually parted ways with coach Cristian Chivu. This decision marks an end to Chivu’s tenure with the club, as reported on Monday.
The 44-year-old former coach is speculated to be on course to join Inter Milan, following the departure of Simone Inzaghi, who recently took up the coaching role at Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal last Wednesday.
In an official statement, Parma expressed gratitude to Chivu for his contributions, acknowledging the achievement of their sporting goals under his guidance and extending their wishes for his continued success in future endeavors.
Chivu took the helm at Parma in February when the team was struggling at 18th position out of 20 in Serie A. Under his management, the team successfully avoided relegation, attaining a 16th place finish by the end of the season.
