Officials Reveal Cause of Stone Mountain Body Death

    STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — A decomposed body, identified as a man, was discovered at Stone Mountain near Atlanta, and authorities have confirmed the death to be a suicide.

    The grim finding took place near the summit of the mountain on a Saturday morning when a passing hiker noticed the body and promptly alerted emergency services by calling 911. This was confirmed by John Bankhead, a spokesperson for Stone Mountain Park Police.

    The subsequent police investigation revealed that the cause of death was suicide. This conclusion came after the man’s parents uncovered a note left by him detailing the methods and location where he intended to take his life.
