COLUMBUS, Ohio โ Kyle Snyder, an esteemed former Olympic gold medalist in wrestling, has pleaded guilty to a lesser offense of disorderly conduct following his arrest in a sting operation targeting prostitution. This decision comes after Snyder was initially charged with engaging in prostitution when he was apprehended at a Columbus, Ohio hotel on May 9. A presiding judge has ordered Snyder, aged 29, to settle a $250 fine. Snyder mentioned that he had already completed a one-day educational program for individuals charged with solicitation.
Appearing via video during the hearing, Snyder expressed that the incident has been a significant learning experience for him. Snyderโs illustrious wrestling career comprises becoming the youngest American wrestler to win an Olympic gold medal at the age of 20 during the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, followed by securing a silver medal at the Tokyo Games. He fell short in the bronze-medal match in the Paris Olympics last year. His collegiate achievements include being a three-time NCAA champion at Ohio State.
