HOUSTON — The Cincinnati Reds have placed outfielder Jake Fraley on the 10-day injured list due to tenderness in his left calf. This decision, backdated to Wednesday, was announced after Fraley attempted a comeback in Friday night’s match against the Houston Astros but had to pull out just an hour before the game’s start.

Fraley’s statistics for the season include a .205 batting average, three home runs, and nine RBIs over 28 games. This setback adds to the Reds’ growing list of player injuries, as they just placed Hunter Greene, a right-handed pitcher, on the injured list the day before because of a groin strain.

In light of these developments, the Reds made some roster adjustments. On Saturday, utility player Connor Joe was added to the team’s roster. Joe was acquired in a trade from the San Diego Padres in exchange for minor league pitcher Andrew Moore.
