In Los Angeles, legal proceedings have commenced against a man from Mississippi accused of stalking and vandalizing the property of famed actress Jennifer Aniston. Prosecutors disclosed on Wednesday that 48-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle from New Albany, Mississippi has been charged with felony stalking and vandalism after allegedly harassing the “Friends” star for a period spanning two years. The charges come with an added aggravating circumstance, suggesting the threat of significant bodily harm, as outlined by Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman.

Carwyle has remained in custody since his arrest earlier in the week and is scheduled to enter a plea on Thursday. His bail is currently set at $150,000, although it remains uncertain whether he has legal representation at this time. The accusations detail that Carwyle began targeting Aniston, labelled under the pseudonym Jennifer A. in legal documents, early in 2023 through a barrage of unsolicited voicemails, emails, and social media communications.

The situation escalated on a recent Monday afternoon within the affluent area of Bel Air, a Los Angeles neighborhood, when Carwyle allegedly drove his vehicle through Aniston’s entrance gate, reportedly resulting in severe damage. He was promptly intercepted by a security officer in the driveway, where law enforcement officers soon arrived to take him into custody. Fortunately, Aniston was at home during the disruption, and no injuries have been reported. Her representatives have yet to provide any public comment on the incident.

If found guilty, Carwyle may face a prison sentence of up to three years. District Attorney Hochman emphasized their dedication to tackling cases where individuals are stalked and harassed, ensuring that offenders face the consequences of their actions. It has been documented that Aniston purchased her midcentury modern residence, situated on an expansive 3.4-acre estate, for roughly $21 million back in 2012.

Jennifer Aniston, who garnered significant fame through her decade-long role on NBC’s “Friends,” where she clinched an Emmy Award for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series, continues her illustrious career with her current role in “The Morning Show” on Apple TV+.
