    CHARLOTTE, N.C. โ€” The lineup for the 107th PGA Championship set to take place from May 15-18 at Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina has been released. The tournament promises an impressive roster of competitors from various categories, showcasing both seasoned veterans and emerging talents.

    Among those participating are past PGA Champions, who enjoy lifetime eligibility. This prestigious group includes notable names such as Xander Schauffele, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, and Phil Mickelson, alongside others like Collin Morikawa and Jason Day.

    Current Masters champions from the last five years joining the fray are Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, and Hideki Matsuyama. The U.S. Open champions from the same period, Bryson DeChambeau, Wyndham Clark, and Matt Fitzpatrick, will also compete. Representing the recent British Open champions are Brian Harman, Cameron Smith, and Shane Lowry.

    Players making it through top rankings include John Catlin, Daniel Van Tonder, and Takumi Kanaya, ranked top three in the International Federation Ranking. From the senior circuit, Richard Bland will be present as the Senior PGA champion.

    Performers securing places in the top 15 and ties at the 2024 PGA Championship are Viktor Hovland, Thomas Detry, and Justin Rose, among others. Moreover, the top 20 from the PGA Professional Championship, featuring Tyler Collet and Jesse Droemer, will showcase their skills.

    Winners from the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge through to the 2025 Truist Championship and Myrtle Beach Classic have also made the cut. Noteworthy mentions from this selection include Davis Riley, Cameron Davis, and Aaron Rai, who will compete for the prestigious title.

    The top 70 players with the highest PGA Championship points up until the CJ Cup Byron Nelson event are also invited. This competitive group features players like Sungjae Im, Patrick Cantlay, and Sam Burns. Members of the 2023 Ryder Cup team still in the top 100 world rankings, including Max Homa, will participate if qualified.

    Completing the field are the top three performers from the Asian Swing on the European tour, with players such as Keita Nakajima and Eugenio Chacarra coming on board. Special invitations have also gone out to talents like Laurie Canter, Rickie Fowler, and Dustin Johnson.

    Filling additional slots beyond the top 70 in PGA points are players like Patrick Fishburn and Victor Perez, while alternates available include Alex Smalley and Vince Whaley. Notably, some notable eligible figures, such as Tiger Woods and Billy Horschel, have opted out of participating this year.
