OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Mike Green has openly acknowledged facing multiple allegations of sexual assault, but wasn’t willing to delve into specifics during rookie camp this past weekend.

Green made himself available to reporters in the Baltimore area on Sunday, marking his first public interaction since the Ravens selected the edge rusher in the second round of the recent NFL draft. These allegations, which likely impacted his draft status, were predictably a focal point of discussion.

“Every team asked me, and I’ve been completely open about everything,” Green explained. “It’s something that I had to go through, and I got through it.” Green, who initially played for Virginia before transferring to Marshall, revealed at the NFL scouting combine that the move was prompted by a second accusation of sexual assault. He also disclosed that he faced similar allegations back in high school but maintained that he was never charged and did nothing wrong.

When pressed on Sunday about the circumstances that led to facing two separate allegations, Green responded, “I’m just focused right now on moving forward with my career at the Ravens. I’m blessed to be here. It’s an honor.”

After drafting Green, the Ravens stated they had done their “due diligence” regarding his background.

In another noteworthy draft decision, Baltimore selected kicker Tyler Loop in the sixth round, signaling uncertainty about Justin Tucker’s future role on the team. It has been reported that more than a dozen massage therapists have accused Tucker of inappropriate behavior. The NFL has announced it would conduct an investigation into these claims.

Tucker has firmly denied any misconduct during professional bodywork sessions.

“From the standpoint of the investigation and all that, we don’t know anything. We haven’t been given any information — as it should be. It’s all done the way it’s done,” said Ravens coach John Harbaugh. “So you can’t make any decisions based on that. Every decision we make has to be based on football.”

“There are a lot of layers to that,” Harbaugh added. “You’ve got a rookie kicker in here. You took him in the sixth round, early in the sixth round. He’s a talented guy. Just from a football standpoint — salary cap, all the different things that you just take into consideration — whatever we decide to do over the next few weeks will be based on football.”
