Incheon, South Korea – Anirban Lahiri experienced a tough turn of events on Saturday during the second round of an LIV tournament at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in Incheon. Lahiri, the Indian golf professional, faced a stroke of bad luck on the ninth hole when his approach shot unfortunately collided with the flagstick, sending the ball ricocheting off the green and into a water hazard. This mishap caused him to record a double-bogey six.

The unfortunate incident seemed to disrupt Lahiri’s game, affecting his performance on the subsequent holes. On the 10th hole, he struggled further, notching a triple-bogey seven. His difficulties continued on the 12th hole where he once again encountered another double-bogey six, resulting in a challenging round that concluded with a score of 7-over 79.

This unfortunate series of events on the back nine contrasted sharply with Lahiri’s earlier performance in the round, where he had managed to birdie three consecutive holes before the ill-fated ninth.

Meanwhile, Bryson DeChambeau delivered an impressive performance with a round of 66, securing a four-stroke advantage over close competitor Richard Bland, who carded a 69, going into the final round scheduled for Sunday.
