COLLEGE PARK, Md. โ€” On Monday night, the University of Maryland confirmed that Allie Kubek, a key player on their womenโ€™s basketball team, has entered the transfer portal.
The 6-foot-2 forward has been an asset to the Terrapins, averaging 9.1 points per game in the recent season and playing a pivotal role in the teamโ€™s journey to the Sweet 16.
Having initially transferred from Towson, Kubek spent two successful seasons contributing to Marylandโ€™s basketball program.
Despite Kubekโ€™s decision to enter the transfer portal, the Terrapins have proactively bolstered their roster for the upcoming season.
Among the new additions are Yarden Garzon, a talented guard from Indiana; Gracie Merkle, a promising center from Penn State; and Oluchi Okananwa, an impressive guard from Duke.
These new recruits are expected to strengthen Marylandโ€™s lineup and help maintain their competitive edge in womenโ€™s college basketball.
