PERRY, Ga. — Authorities in central Georgia are investigating a tragic incident where four family members were found deceased over the weekend. This discovery has prompted detectives to question a “person of interest” in connection with the case.

The four individuals, spanning ages from 2 to 82, were discovered on Saturday evening at Timberline Mobile Home Park. Police were initially dispatched to the location to conduct a welfare check, leading to the grim find. The victims were all familial relations, and it is believed that the suspect had prior knowledge of the family, according to information released by the Perry police.

An official statement from the Perry Police Department indicates that the event is considered isolated, and they assure that there is no ongoing threat to residents of the Perry community at this time.

Perry police Captain Jason Jones disclosed that the deaths were the result of a “stabbing incident,” revealing to local television reporters the suspected method of the attack. He further surmised that the violent act was likely committed by one individual who had an established relationship with one of the victims.

“We are working through a substantial amount of evidence that needs thorough analysis,” Jones elaborated. “Currently, no charges have been filed, but our investigative efforts are diligently moving forward.”

Perry is a small city with a population of around 24,000 residents, situated roughly 106 miles south of Atlanta. The community is grappling with the shock of such a horrific incident, yet reassured by law enforcement’s dedication to resolving the case.
