In Birmingham, Alabama, Chloe Kitts showcased an impressive performance by scoring 14 points, leading the defending national champions, South Carolina, to another triumph. This victory propelled them to the Final Four of the women’s NCAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive year, as they narrowly defeated Duke with a 54-50 score on Sunday.

South Carolina, the top-seeded team, is now just two victories away from becoming the first team to defend its title since UConn’s remarkable four consecutive wins from 2013 to 2016. The Gamecocks are set to face off against the winner of the Texas-TCU matchup, which is scheduled for Monday night.
The forthcoming Final Four will take place in Tampa, Florida, this coming Friday night.

Duke, the second-seeded contender, was striving for their first appearance in the national semifinals since 2006. During that remarkable year, the team reached the title game but fell short against Maryland in overtime. The Blue Devils were eager to have both their women’s and men’s programs represented in the Final Four.
