LONDON — In a recent visit to Madame Tussauds in London, Kylian Mbappé was visibly thrilled when he encountered his lifelike wax figure. The famed footballer couldn’t hide his excitement as he walked into the exhibit, his face lighting up upon seeing the detailed statue that stood before him. “Oh, wow. I love it, amazing. A new jersey, even the new boots,” he remarked in a museum video. “It’s a big honor, it’s a big achievement for me, a big honor to be part of the big Madame Tussauds family.”

Mbappé took a moment to closely inspect the waxwork, taking pride in standing next to it with a playful arm around the figure. “Thank you to everybody for all the work, because it’s a perfect job and I’m really happy with the results,” he noted, clearly pleased with the realistic representation. “That’s me.”

The statue captures the essence of the French soccer star, dressed in France’s away jersey, and exhibits his iconic arms-folded pose. This remarkable likeness is scheduled to be unveiled to the public on April 4. Madame Tussauds, a historic museum established in 1835 by the talented French wax sculptor Marie Tussaud, continues to be a renowned attraction for its impeccable creations.

Beyond this new addition, Mbappé already enjoys a presence in the world of wax figures with a statue displayed at the Musée Grévin in Paris. His inclusion in these prestigious museums underscores his global impact and the admiration he garners across the world of sports fans.
