MONACO — Monaco’s forward, Folarin Balogun, made a comeback to the pitch after undergoing shoulder surgery earlier this year.
On Tuesday, Balogun participated in a friendly game playing for the club’s reserve team against Brighton’s Under-23 squad. Demonstrating a remarkable performance, the American international netted three goals during the first half, as reported by Monaco.
Despite this promising return, it remains uncertain whether Balogun will be in a position to join the French league match scheduled for Saturday against Monaco’s local rival, Nice.
Previously, the striker had been out of action for approximately two months due to the shoulder injury and had made a tentative return to competition by the end of November. Unfortunately, during a match with Marseille in the French league, he aggravated the injury, which led to his decision to undergo surgery to permanently address the issue.
