    NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In a dazzling display during the second half, Nashville SC clinched a 3-0 victory over CF Montreal at GEODIS Park Saturday night, with goals from Alex Muhl, Josh Bauer, and Jonathan Pérez over an 11-minute span.

    The breakthrough came in the 56th minute when Alex Muhl capitalized on a pass from Sam Surridge to open his scoring account for the season, marking his 23rd career goal. Surridge, contributing significantly, recorded his first assist of the season, enhancing his performance record with his third assist across 42 appearances.

    Nashville amplified their advantage to 2-0 in the 62nd minute thanks to Josh Bauer’s maiden career goal, achieved in his 39th appearance. Walker Zimmerman, a fellow defender, played a pivotal role by delivering his second assist of the season – his 11th overall in a career spanning 271 matches.

    Wrapping up Nashville’s commanding performance, Jonathan Pérez netted his first career goal in the 67th minute following a precise assist from Hany Mukhtar. With this assist, Mukhtar reached his 50th assist milestone in 150 career appearances.

    Goalkeeper Joe Willis was instrumental in securing Nashville’s victory with three crucial saves, earning his third shutout in five starts this season. Impressively, 52 of his 70 career shutouts have been achieved with Nashville.

    For Montreal, defender Jonathan Sirois managed four saves. Previously, Sirois achieved a personal best with seven saves, contributing to a goalless draw with D.C. United, marking his 20th career shutout. During the scoreless first half, Willis captured one save while Sirois saved three.

    Nashville continues their strong home record, improving to 4-0-2 against Montreal when playing at GEODIS Park. Notably, Surridge previously recorded a hat trick during Montreal’s last visit.

    Facing the challenges of a seven-match road stretch at the start of this season, Montreal is navigating the fifth leg of this demanding journey.
