In Saint Paul, Minnesota, an enthralling game unfolded between Minnesota United and LA Galaxy, ending in a 2-2 stalemate. Two goals from Kelvin Yeboah spotlighted the match for Minnesota, but each time he scored, LA Galaxy managed to equalize. Yeboah initiated the scoring with a decisive right-footed shot from the center of the box, putting Minnesota ahead 1-0 in the 19th minute. However, this lead was short-lived as Christian Ramírez promptly brought the Galaxy level with a header from central position just seven minutes later.

As the match wore on, the 1-1 tie lingered until deep in the second half. In the 87th minute, Yeboah once more found the net through a penalty, striking a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner, giving Minnesota a brief advantage. Yet, LA Galaxy responded swiftly, with Emiro Garces delivering a right-footed shot from the center of the box in the 90th minute, courtesy of an assist from Miguel Berry’s free kick.

Throughout the intense match, Minnesota United showed offensive prowess with nine shots on target compared to LA Galaxy’s four. However, this draw denied Minnesota the milestone of their 100th regular-season victory since they joined Major League Soccer in 2017.

While the defending champions, LA Galaxy, remain without a win this season, they have vivid memories of eliminating Minnesota in last season’s MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference semifinals with an emphatic 6-2 victory.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to play at home in their upcoming matches. Minnesota United will face Real Salt Lake, while LA Galaxy is preparing to confront Orlando.
