FAIRFAX, Va. — On Saturday, Corey Thomas delivered an impressive performance off the bench, securing 21 points to help Bradley defeat George Mason 75-67 in the NIT.
This win propels Bradley forward to face Chattanooga in the upcoming quarterfinals.
Thomas also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing 11 rebounds for the Braves, who now stand at 27-8. Christian Davis played an instrumental role as well, shooting 7-for-11, including 5-for-8 from three-point range, to also tally 21 points. Duke Deen, although shooting 3-for-13 overall and 3-for-11 from beyond the arc, added nine points along with handing out six assists.
Leading the charge for the Patriots, who also hold a 27-8 record, K.D. Johnson finished with 16 points and two steals. Darius Maddox added 15 points to George Mason’s efforts, while Zach Anderson contributed 11 points.
Bradley claimed the lead with 7:38 remaining in the first half and maintained control throughout the remainder of the game. They entered halftime with a 37-28 advantage, largely due to Davis’s 13-point first-half performance. In the second half, Thomas’s contribution of another 15 points sealed the eight-point triumph for Bradley.
