Atlanta Hawks’ center Clint Capela is anticipated to miss the remainder of the regular season due to an injury to his left hand. Recent medical examinations revealed that Capela has a ligament injury in the fourth metacarpal. He will undergo a reassessment in three to four weeks, but with Atlanta wrapping up their regular season against Orlando on April 13, his return seems unlikely.

During the season, Capela, aged 30, lost his starting position to Onyeka Okongwu around mid-January. Over the course of 55 games, which included 41 starts, Capela averages 8.9 points and 8.5 rebounds. This comes after maintaining a string of eight years scoring in double figures. Throughout his career, he has averaged 12 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.

Currently, the Hawks hold the seventh position in the Eastern Conference standings, putting them in a favorable position for the play-in tournament.
