SALT LAKE CITY — The Toronto Raptors triumphed over the Utah Jazz with a 126-118 victory, with both Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley contributing significantly to the win by each scoring 20 points. Barnes also had an impressive 10 rebounds. Alongside them, A.J. Lawson scored 18 points, RJ Barrett added 17, and Orlando Robinson contributed with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.

Crucially, Quickley hit a decisive 3-pointer with 43 seconds remaining, tipping the score in Toronto’s favor to 90-88 and igniting a 16-2 run. This sequence extended the Raptors’ lead to 15 points, their largest margin of the game, with just over eight minutes left to play.

On the opposing side, Jordan Clarkson stood out for the Jazz, leading his team with 19 points. Meanwhile, Kyle Filipowski achieved a double-double, tallying 18 points and 11 rebounds. The Jazz, however, were on a difficult streak, enduring their eighth consecutive loss.

Notably, KJ Martin swapped into the game for Lauri Markkanen in the second half, with Markkanen returning to finish with 16 points. Despite having been a force in their previous matchup in Toronto, Walker Kessler, known for his prowess on the court, did not participate in this game. Interestingly, Kessler is not currently noted on any injury list despite his impressive season stats, including shooting 72.5% from the field and averaging 11.5 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game.

A highlight moment for the Jazz came as Clarkson intercepted a pass from Lawson, cleverly maneuvered the ball through Lawson’s legs near midcourt, and executed a lob pass to Martin for an alley-oop layup late in the third quarter.

The Jazz showcased a strong first-half performance from the 3-point line, making 10 out of 20 attempts and leading at halftime with a score of 58-56. However, their shooting cooled off in the second half, where they only connected on six out of 18 from beyond the arc.

Looking ahead, both the Raptors and the Jazz will be in action again on Sunday. The Raptors are set to face the Portland Trail Blazers, while the Jazz will be going up against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
