Adebayo’s Double-Double Leads Mount St. Mary’s over Marist

    ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — In a thrilling match at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal on Thursday evening, Dola Adebayo propelled Mount St. Mary’s to victory over Marist with a score of 62-58. Adebayo delivered an outstanding performance, contributing 19 points and 11 rebounds to secure the win.

    The sixth-seeded Mountaineers, holding a record of 20-12, were further supported by Arlandus Keyes who sank three crucial 3-pointers. Keyes finished the game with 11 points and five rebounds. Jedy Cordilia also added to the scoreboard with 11 points on an efficient 5-for-8 shooting.

    For the third-seeded Red Foxes, now 20-10 for the season, Josh Pascarelli emerged as the lead scorer with 16 points. Jadin Collins provided support by scoring 14 points along with four assists and three steals, while Jason Schofield contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.

    Mount St. Mary’s took an early advantage in the match, heading into halftime with a 27-19 lead. Cordilia played a pivotal role in maintaining that lead, scoring Mount St. Mary’s last six points to clinch their advancement to the next round. The Mountaineers are set to face off against the No. 2 seed, Merrimack, in the semifinals on Friday.
