Garcia’s 20-Point Game Aids Tulsa Triumph Over Temple

    In Fort Worth, Texas, Jared Garcia made a significant impact coming off the bench to help Tulsa clinch a 75-71 win against Temple during the second round of the American Athletic Conference Tournament on Thursday night.

    Garcia not only scored 20 points but also contributed with five rebounds, powering the 10th-seeded Golden Hurricane (13-19) forward to face off against No. 2 seed North Texas in the quarterfinals this Friday.

    Dwon Odom also delivered a noteworthy performance with 14 points and eight assists for Tulsa. Keaston Willis supported the team’s efforts by adding 11 points.

    For the seventh-seeded Owls (17-15), Steve Settle led the scoring with 22 points, grabbed six rebounds, and achieved three steals. Zion Stanford supported the squad by adding 17 points, securing seven rebounds, supplying five assists, and managing two blocks. Shane Dezonie also contributed with 10 points.

    In the first half, Willis made a difference by scoring six points, although Tulsa went into halftime behind Temple with a score of 42-30.
