In a significant announcement for the entertainment world, the Golden Globes have revealed that comedian Nikki Glaser will return to host the 2026 ceremony. This comes after Glaser received widespread acclaim for her debut as a solo host. The producer of the award show, Dick Clark Productions, shared this news on Thursday, confirming Glaser’s involvement in the 83rd Golden Globes scheduled for next January.
As the first woman to host the prestigious event on her own, Glaser delivered a lively and memorable ceremony, which she humorously dubbed “Ozempic’s biggest night.” Reflecting on her experience, Glaser expressed enthusiasm about her return, stating, “Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career. I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from ‘The White Lotus’ who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season Four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
The previous ceremony awarded top honors to the films “The Brutalist” and “Emilia Pérez,” as well as to the TV series “Sh?gun” and “Hacks.” According to Nielsen ratings, the broadcast attracted 9.3 million viewers, marking a slight 2% decline from the previous year. Similar to the current year’s arrangement, next year’s event will be broadcast on CBS and available for streaming on Paramount+.
Helen Hoehne, the President of the Globes, praised Glaser’s performance, saying, “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun.”
