Shooting Occurs at Chicago O’Hare Airport Terminal

    In the early hours of Wednesday, a shooting incident took place outside a terminal at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, police reported. The altercation involved several individuals and resulted in a 25-year-old man sustaining two gunshot wounds to his lower body, according to the Chicago Police Department.

    The victim was promptly taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. Authorities have detained another individual for questioning in connection to the incident.

    The altercation unfolded on a street adjacent to Terminal 2, as stated in the police announcement. News footage from local television stations showed evidence of the violence with a shattered window visible near the baggage claim area.

    Despite the disruption, O’Hare International Airport confirmed that all arrival lanes across the terminals were reopened and operating normally by 5:15 a.m. Terminal 2 is typically used by airlines such as JetBlue, Air Canada, and Alaska Airlines.
