ATLANTA — Dyson Daniels delivered an impressive 25-point performance as the Atlanta Hawks took down the Philadelphia 76ers with a 132-123 victory on Monday night. Atlanta’s offense was firing on all cylinders, shooting an impressive 54.1% from the floor. The team showcased a balanced attack with six players reaching double figures. Among them, Zaccharie Risacher scored 22 points, 20 of which came in the first half, while Terance Mann recorded a season-high 19 points.

The Hawks, now holding a 31-34 record, have built momentum with three consecutive wins and four victories in their last five outings. Meanwhile, the 76ers, sitting at 22-42, have faced struggles, losing four of their last five games. Despite the loss, Quentin Grimes stood out for Philadelphia with a 35-point game, 17 of which were scored in a spirited fourth quarter. Ricky Council IV also put forth a valiant effort by tying his career-high with 19 points.

In a pivotal moment just before halftime, Risacher’s powerful two-handed dunk contributed to the Hawks’ dominant 66-57 lead going into the break. The second half saw the Hawks maintain control of the game without relinquishing their lead.

The 76ers were hindered by a depleted roster, fielding only nine players due to injuries that sidelined key members such as point guard Tyrese Maxey and forwards Paul George and Kelly Oubre Jr. It was reported that George would also miss the upcoming game against Toronto due to soreness in his left groin. Maxey was absent for the fourth consecutive game, and starting center Andre Drummond was out with an illness.

For the Hawks, Trae Young, their leading scorer and point guard, missed the game due to a left calf contusion. Nevertheless, Daniels added to his league-leading total of steals with an early takeaway in the game’s opening phase.

During a crucial stretch at the end of the first half, the Hawks outscored Philadelphia 23-7 over the closing 4:50, setting the tone for a victorious continuation in the second half.

In terms of statistics, Atlanta dominated the boards with a 47-31 rebounding advantage, spearheaded by Risacher and Clint Capela, who each contributed eight rebounds.

Looking ahead, both teams are slated to play again on Wednesday night, with the Hawks facing off against Charlotte at home and the 76ers traveling to Toronto.
